Man arrested after woman is raped in alleyway
An arrest has been made after a woman was raped in an alleyway in Braintree.
Officers were called to the area, which is located near to some flats at Riverside Place, in St John’s Avenue, Braintree, at around 4.40am on Sunday.
The victim, a woman in her 20s, is being supported by specially trained officers.
Detectives investigating the rape have made an arrest.
A man aged 42 from Braintree was arrested on Thursday June 14, on suspicion of rape.
