Braintree District Museum will host a two part talk about the vibrant Essex music scene in the Sixties, Seventies and Eighties.
Sadly, after the snowy weather last month, the museum postponed the first part of the John Powers talk about his experiences in the Essex music scene in decades gone by.
But it has been rescheduled for April 17 with his second talk taking place one week later.
The museum will be offering the two talks as a buy one ticket get the other half price.
Mr Powers grew up in Chelmsford and studied art at Colchester School of Art before embarking on 21 years teaching in schools, prisons, colleges and at a mental health charity.
Some of his students included Leroy from the Prodigy, who was at Notley High, and lead singer Dave Gahan from Depeche Mode.
He retired in 2012 and since then he has written six books, countless articles for magazines and he continues to exhibit his paintings.
The first part of the talk - the Essex Music Scene in the Sixties and Seventies - will take place on Tuesday, April 17 from 3pm until 4pm at Braintree District Museum.
The following part - Essex Music Scene in the Seventies and Eighties will be on Tuesday, April 24 from 3pm until 4pm.
Booking is essential but admission to the talks are free with admission and refreshments included.
