40p for 40 days appeal for foodbank
A unique appeal is hoping to raise vital cash to support Braintree Area Foodbank.
The 40p for 40 days appeal, which began on Valentine's Day, asks participants to save 40p every day over Lent for donation to the foodbank.
Over the course of the appeal, residents will collect a total of £16, which will then go towards paying for things like the distribution of food and maintenance at the foodbank's warehouse.
