Man arrested in connection with attempted rape of young woman in Witham
A man has been arrested in connection with the attempted rape of a woman in Witham.
Detectives have announced this afternoon that a man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with the incident.
The victim, a woman in her 20s, was attacked at around 8.45am on Wednesday, January 3, as she walked along a pathway in Powers Hall End near Bramble Road.
She managed to fight off her attacker and get away.
The man remains in custody where he is currently being questioned.
