Students at a Braintree academy raised more than £1,300 for Children in Need, with money still rolling in.
Every day a different year group at Alec Hunter Academy, in Stubbs Lane, ran stalls, sold treats and hosted games during break and lunch times, collecting funds for the appeal.
There was also a raffle, non-uniform day and the students came out on top in a basketball game against the teachers.
The running total has reached over £1,300, with money from sponsored events still to be collected.
Valerie Winter, a teacher and charities coordinator at the school, said: “We are so proud of the students, they have taken it to their hearts.
“The atmosphere in the school was lovely throughout the week and the pupils worked so hard.”
Students were also asked to appear on the BBC’s live broadcast on Friday evening and some were interviewed on national television.
