A woman was allegedly bitten by three dogs while carrying her own pet.
The incident happened at about 7.30pm on September 25, when the woman came out of her property in Britten Crescent, Witham with a dog in her arms.
Three dogs wearing florescent flashing collars are alleged to have jumped up at the woman and bitten her stomach.
The dogs are described as a black pug type and two Jack Russell terriers, one brown and white and the other tri colour.
Councillor Wendy Schmitt, responsible for environment and place at Braintree Council, said: “Our Street Scene Enforcement team is investigating an allegation where a dog attacked a lady in Witham.
“We recognise that the majority of dog owners act in a very responsible manner when walking their dogs, however this is an important reminder that owners must have proper control of them when out in public to ensure the safety of the local community.”
The identity of the dog owner is unknown.
