A man was arrested on a European Arrest Warrant (EAW).
The 37-year-old man was arrested at an address in Mortimer Way, Witham at around 6.35pm on October 1.
The EAW was issued in Poland and the man was transferred to Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Essex Police could not release the name of the man because the case is being investigated by another force.
This meant the Crown Prosecution Service extradition team was unable to find out what the warrant was issued for when the Times asked.
