A grand Victorian building which used to be a care home for deaf and blind residents has been placed on the market for nearly £2million.
Foley House, in High Garrett, was put into special measures in January 2016 after it was branded “not safe” by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The home, which had rooms for 21 deaf and blind residents, is understood to have closed for the final time in June last year.
Now the property has been placed on the market, with an asking price of £1,950,000.
The building is being marketing as possessing the potential for development or conversion.
The original 15,000sqm building dates from 1885 and includes 21 bedrooms, several receptions rooms and a basement.
Outside the property there is a set of outbuildings as well as two car park areas.
