ALL creatures great and small were present at a special blessing event in the grounds of a village church.
Animals from dogs to snakes were all welcomed to St Francis Church, Silver End, on Sunday for the church’s annual Blessing of the Animals service.
Parishioners were invited to bring their pets with them or come alone and meet other resident’s pets.
Services for the blessing of animals have become popular at churches around the world and usually take place place near to the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, on October 4.
