A MUSICAL society will perform an iconic play.
Braintree Musical Society will put on their version of Oliver Twist, the story of a young orphan who goes into London.
He meets the Artful Dodger and finds his home with a gang of pickpockets, including gang leaders Fagin and Nancy.
Nancy is desperate to help Oliver but is badly treated by Fagin.
Based on the book by Charles Dickens, the Braintree Musical Society will perform the hits from Food Glorious Food to I’d Do Anything.
The society have been rehearsing since May for the October production.
A series of performances will take place between Thursday October 5 and Saturday October 7 at the College of Braintree, on Church Lane.
Evening performances will be held from 7.30pm onwards on Thursday and Friday nights, with a performance on Saturday afternoon and the final performance on Saturday evening.
Tickets cost £12.
