School to move into new £6.4million, 210 place building
WORK on a new 210 place primary school in Stansted Mountfitchet is set to begin.
Magna Carta Primary Academy, currently based at the Peter Kirk Centre, will be moving to the new building as of September 2018.
The £6.4million scheme will see a whole new school built on the former St Mary's Primary School site, in St John's Road, Stansted Mountfitchet.
Once complete, it will include seven classrooms, as well group rooms, a hall, a room specifically to provide additional support for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, and other facilities.
The school, run by Burnt Mill Academy Trust, will eventually have capacity for up to 210 pupils.
Ground at the new school has been broken.
