AROUND 50 companies will be showcasing their career opportunities at London Stansted Airport this week.

The airport’s new Hampton-by-Hilton hotel, which is nearing completion ahead of its opening this summer, is the latest to sign-up alongside a host of firms promoting over 500 jobs.

Companies also attending the fair include venue provider Radisson Blu hotel, MAG Stansted Airport, Jet2.com, Titan Airways, World Duty Free, Fedex, Border Force, Boots, Harris + Hoole, National Express and many more from all sectors of the airport’s operation.

Marcella M’Rabety, corporate social responsibility manager, said: “These are really exciting times at Stansted Airport and the future is set to be even brighter.

"We are already welcoming over 24 million passengers a year, planning permission has been granted for a new £130million arrivals building and we are just about to kick-off a host of new multi-million pound projects to improve the passenger experience and make best use of our existing single runway.

“There has never been a better time to join the 12,000 workers already driving our success story and this latest jobs fair is the perfect opportunity to find out more and to get onboard through the hundreds of new jobs and long-term careers being created by Stansted’s phenomenal growth."

Job seekers will be able to meet potential employers, get careers advice, receive guidance about the application process and find out more about free training opportunities, apprenticeships and traineeships programmes and existing vacancies.

The Jobs Fair, organised by Stansted Airport in partnership with the airport’s Employment and Skills Academy, takes place this Thursday from 10am to 2pm.

Job seekers planning to attend are encouraged to use public transport where possible as the hotel is situated less than five minutes from the airport’s rail and coach stations.

Free parking will be provided in the Green Short Stay car park adjacent to the venue.
