A YOUNG fundraiser was excited to cut off her hair for charity.
Emily Dickson, six, donated 12 inches of her hair to the Little Princess Trust, who provide wigs to children that have lost their own hair due to cancer.
Emily, from Witham, also fundraised for the Little Legs charity, raising money for treatment for children which is not available on the NHS.
Her mum Connie Low, of Greenwell Road, said: "Because her hair was getting so long people were telling her all the things she could do with it for charity nowadays.
"She was really interested in the Little Princess Trust so she decided to keep growing it, so she could give them the full 12 inches they require to make a wig.
"Emily was really excited in the end because she has been growing her hair for so long - she loves her new hair.
"She was really pleased because she only wanted to raise £200 for Little Legs, but she raised £500.
"I'm really proud of her."
