THE chairman of Braintree’s Town Team is set to step down.
Liz Storey, has been chairman since November 2012, but will be leaving the role as of the end of April.
She said: “The town team has achieved an awful lot over the last four years.
“It was created to give a voice to the retailers and I think it has done that.
“It has been fantastic how we have had the whole range of businesses, from Tesco to small shops like Shake Express involved.
“I have put my heart and soul into this and going forward I think it is viable.
“We would love to see anyone come along to the annual general meeting who has ideas about how the group can go forward and would be willing to step up.
“If nobody comes forward we will have to reassess the future of the group.”
Nominations for chairman should be emailed to liz@ignitebusiness.org before April 20.
The meeting takes place on April 27 from 6pm at the George Yard management suite.
