LOST links in in a country park will be restored as part of a £500,000 investment.
The Flitch Way, set around part of a disused railway line between Braintree and Bishops Stortford, is managed by Essex Country Parks.
The site will be improved with a bridleway.
The investment comes after developer Redrow Homes secured planning approval to build 60 homes on a 3.8-hectare site off Ongar Road in Great Dunmow.
Along with the homes, Redrow has pledged to invest in the local community to help ensure the development is sustainable.
Kerry McCoubrey, sales director for Redrow Homes said: “We’re not just providing homes for humans, but homes for wildlife too.”
