AN internationally acclaimed choir will be performing at a special Christmas concert in aid of a hospice.

The Imperial Male Voice Choir, who are based in London, will be joining Bishop’s Stortford choir Amici Cantate to perform at Thaxted Parish Church on Saturday.

The Thaxted Primary School choir will also be performing at the event, which is titled The Joy in Christmas.

The concert will be directed by John Tripp, Deborah Miles-Johnson and Maggi Griffiths and accompanied by Charlie Penn on organ and piano, Leanne Singh-Levett on piano and Graham Instrall on percussion.

There will be unique representations of Christmas classical tunes, like Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols, as well as more traditional carols to which everyone will know the words and can join in.

Proceeds will go towards St Clare Hospice.

Tickets cost £10 for adults, £5 for children and £20 for a family.
