POLICE have executed warrants in Braintree and Witham today.
Acting on information from the public, officers obtained a warrant from the courts to search the premises and found a cultivation set up to grow cannabis plants inside the address.
Eight cannabis plants were seized to be destroyed along with any paraphernalia used to grow the drugs.
A 26-year-old man from Braintree was arrested on suspicious of cultivation of cannabis and was taken to Chelmsford custody.
Pc James Draper from Braintree and Uttlesford Community Policing said: "This follows a number of successful warrants in the area to disrupt drug dealing and associated crime.
"We will not tolerate those who supply and produce drugs and we will continue to disrupt others involved in drugs.”
