A FIRE station held a fun day for residents on the anniversary of its open day.
Witham Fire Station opened 50 years ago, and a celebratory event was held on Saturday.
Many residents came to enjoy the stalls, bouncy castles, cakes and fire engines on display.
The children also enjoyed firing water from the hoses at a practice tower.
Adrian Richardson, Station Commander, showed Witham councillor Angela Kilmartin around the station.
She said: "The town is indebted to the fire service and all the men and women who have come to our aid over all these years."
