THE A12 has re-opened after a lorry hit the central reservation.
The incident happened on the northbound stretch between Marks Tey and Eight Ash Green shortly after 9am.
Highways closed the road shortly after the incident and vehicles were diverted through Stanway and Copford until the road re-opened at 1pm.
Traffic was slow-moving back to Witham.
Traffic was also slow on the eastbound A120 between Coggeshall and the Marks Tey Interchange.
Debris was scattered across lane two of the London-bound carriageway.
The ambulance service confirmed they had not been called to the scene.
