VOLUNTEERS chipped in toward restoring a primary schools trim trail adventure play area.
Terling C of E Primary School asked for donations of materials, transport and labour to help spruce up the tired play area which had not been used in about a year.
Jeremy Ruggles, from J.S.Wright and Sons donated the root barrier, L.C. Energy donated the wood chip and Reagan Landscapes allowed the use of their vans to transport the materials.
Michael Harrington, a parent of a pupil at the school, along with his brother Nigel and the new Headteacher Mrs Smart and husband, all kindly donated their time on a Sunday to complete the work.
Helen Mowlam-Tett, Office Manager at the school, said: "The children could not use it before because of the flooring it had, unfortunately we could not afford to have it sorted.
"We would like to say thank you to some fantastic volunteers donate and restore our trim trail for all the children to use, without the donation of root barrier, bark chippings, transport and labour we would not have been able to do this."
The trail is now so popular that the school uses a rota to decide which year group's turn it is to use the trail.
