A TEENAGER has been ordered to pay more than £250 after he admitted stealing a sandwich worth £3.50.
Jamie Hood, 19, of Bramble Road, Witham, stole the snack from Marks and Spencer in Chelmsford High Street on October 14.
Colchester Magistrates’ Court gave him a 12 month conditional discharge but told him to pay a criminal courts charge of £150, costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85, a £15 victim surcharge and £3.50 in compensation to the food store.
