The survivors of a horrific car crash on the A120 say they are “disappointed” the notorious road will not be dualled before 2020 at the earliest.

Although work to widen the A12 to three lanes between Chelmsford and Colchester will begin in the next five years, Highways England revealed last week that the A120 would not follow suit until after 2020.

The news has disappointed Timothy and Joy Minogue, who were involved in a serious crash along the A120 on August 9 when Mrs Minogue swerved into a ditch near Coggeshall to avoid an oncoming car.
