Supermarket applies for 24-hour alcohol licence
A SUPERMARKET has applied to sell alcohol around the clock.
Tesco, in Great Notley, already stays open for 24 hours a day but can only offer beer, wine and spirits for sale between 6am and 11pm.
A spokesman said: “The application is to request that we are allowed to sell alcohol during all of our operating hours, as we are a 24 hour store. This is following feedback from customers.”
The application has been lodged with Braintree Council, anyone wishing to make a representation must do so in writing to the council by October 29.
