Residents at a care home could move into a brand new building if planning permission is granted.
Gold Care Homes has applied to Braintree Council to knock down one of two buildings at Willowmead Care Home and replace it with a new two-storey, 60-bed home.
If approved, the home in Wickham Bishops Road, Hatfield Peverel (pictured), will offer nursing as well as residential care and increase the overall capacity of the site from 62 to 87 beds.
