Elderly residents relived their youth at a 21st birthday party for their care home.

Bradbury House in New Street, Braintree, welcomed 20 family members and friends of its 17 residents
to a Mad Hatter’s tea party to celebrate the milestone.

Opera singer Alexander Jenner entertained the group and staff dressed up as characters from Alice
in Wonderland.

The home was decorated with balloons for the event which was opened by Helena and Paul Jeffery in 1994.

Guest of honour Mrs Jeffery cut the birthday cake.

She said: "Bradbury House has always been special to me as it was the very first care home that we
opened, so it is wonderful to return and help our home celebrate providing care for the last 21 years."
