NEW plans have been unveiled to turn the site of a former Magistrates’ Court into homes.
Julia Mackay Properties was granted permission in June to demolish the former court in Newland Street, Witham, and build ten bungalows.
However, the company now wants to build eleven of the single story homes.
The company’s design and access statement said the layout will remain the same as the agreed plans, with eight units to the rear of the site.
Instead of two detached bungalows fronting Newland Street, the company now proposes a single pair of semi-detached bungalows and one detached bungalow.
