School celebrates In Bloom success with impressive award haul
A primary school is celebrating after budding gardeners harvested around 90 awards at a competition.
More than 250 guests attended the Witham in Bloom Children and Schools’ presentation evening held at sponsor school, Maltings Academy.
Children from Powers Hall Infant School were awarded medals and certificates for their artwork, along the theme of blackberries and rosehips.
The school, along with Howbridge Infant School, were joint winners of the best artwork display, while several Powers Hall pupils received medals and certificates for being Young Gardeners.
