Dozens of cycling fans got on their bikes for the second annual Tour de Witham festival.

More than 75 people took part in 25 and 50 mile bike rides starting off from Guithavon Valley Church on Sunday morning.

There was also a five mile family route along the River Walk which was popular with children despite the less than perfect weather.

After the ride they were presented with a goody bag and a certificate signed by mayor Bill Rose.

Other fun activities on the day included football in the portable arena, face painting and an inflatable Space Hopper challenge.

Lorne Campbell, of organisers Witham Boys’ Brigade, said: “It was a brilliant day, we focused on what mattered – a community day for all ages to celebrate together, have fun and have time to talk.”
