A village gardening club has been wound up after nearly 50 years and has donated its remaining funds to a museum.
Coggeshall Gardening Club had struggled to form a committee to run the organisation and decided to donate its remaining funds of £737 to Coggeshall Museum.
The museum plans to display the club’s old scrap books and other documents.
Museum chairman Stan Haines said it was a “sad day.”
