A care home left residents in soiled bed sheets, dirty chairs and at risk of infection, inspectors have found.
Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspectors at Attwoods Manor, in Braintree Road, Halstead, heard one resident hadn’t had a bath for two weeks because staff "were too busy".
The care watchdog rated the home inadequate in its safety and leadership and said it needed to improve in how it cared for residents, its effectiveness and responsiveness - rewarding it the “inadequate” label overall.
When inspectors visited in January, they found poor standards of hygiene throughout the home.
