A caring five-year-old girl plans to donate her hair to a charity which makes wigs for children suffering from cancer.
Evie Thomson will cut off her Rapunzel-like locks for the Little Princess Trust and wants to raise the £350 it will cost the charity to turn them into a hairpiece.
Her mum, Dawn Thomson, 25, of Angle Side, Braintree, said: “It is due a cut and I suggested to her to give her hair to a good cause, because we have a family member who has had cancer.
“Evie is all for it, she is not nervous at all and is quite happy to go ahead with it.
“She comes with me when I give blood and she asks why, so she understands that there are sick children and adults who do not have hair."
