Parish councillors will create a lasting memorial to two colleagues who tirelessly served Bradwell.
At a council meeting last week, Bradwell Parish Council has decided to buy a tree in memory of Henry Biggs, known as Bob, and a bench for Kathleen Jose Hill, who both served on the council.
Bob died aged just 66 on New Year’s Day following a sudden heart attack and had attended the funeral of Mrs Hill, a former parish council chairman, two days earlier.
She died on December 16.
The dad-of-three was well known in the village for fighting to reduce the speed limit on the A120 and was a member of the Save Lives Not Time campaign group.
Even the Highways Agency paid tribute to Mr Biggs after having many dealings with him over the years.
