A body has been found in the search for Aleasha Coan, who went missing from her Colchester home on Sunday.
The body of a woman was found in land around the University of Essex at Wivenhow Park at around 1.25pm today.
Supt Steve Ditchburn, coordinating the searches said: "The body is yet to be formally identified but Aleasha’s family have been updated and our search suspended.”
Police will now be liaising with HM Coroner.
Aleasha, who is married, is believed to have links to Braintree and Rayne after growing up in the area and attending Helena Romanes School in Great Dunmow.
When she left her home in Elmstead Road she was wearing a long black padded coat – which came down past her knees and has a rip in the back of it with the white coat stuffing poking out.
Police said she told her family she was going for a walk.
Police described her as "vulnerable".
