Estate agents will be moving into Braintree’s High Street after eight years based on the outskirts of town.
In January CM Rent, which first started in Rayne Road in 2003, will open at the vacant Lethal Gaming, an Xbox gaming centre which closed in August.
The firm will move from its premises near Freeport shopping centre in Century Drive, where it has been since 2006.
It has sold the space to neighbouring business Alchemy Recruitment, which is expanding.
Michael Saville, managing director at CM Rent, said: “We have always intended to get into the High Street, this is now the right time and the right place.
“We felt now was the right time to move and make people more aware of us.
“We want more people to see us face to face.”
The move means two extra staff members have been employed.
