Pupils at a Witham primary school recreated the Tower of London poppy display in their playground to commemorate our fallen soldiers.
The 204 children at Holy Family Primary School in Maltings Lane created their own giant poppies.
Headteacher Ann Kelliher said: “This year, every person from the catering staff to the site manager stopped and came together. The remembrance meant a lot more this year.
“I asked how many of the pupils had gone to the Tower of London and a lot of them had, but we wanted to recreate it for those who haven’t.
“It was a good reminder that they were part of a national commemoration - even the young ones went away with a good understanding of the day’s importance.”
