How’s this for a ghoulish Halloween look?
Braintree make-up artist Charli Bignell turned reporter Emma Robinson into a zombie in an hour-long makover.
Charli, 26, of Thomas Way, applied a pale foundation and powder to create a realistic cold ‘dead’ look.
A small brush packed with dark purple Kryolan grease paint created a dark bruised look around the eyes.
Using a small pointed brush, Charli painted small dark red and blue veins across Emma’s cheeks and let the make-up naturally fade to make the veins seem more realistic.
She said: “The veins reinforce the coldness. I did some veining around the lips as well before moving on to the bruising.
“A fresh bruise is more purples and reds and then as it starts to heal it goes into greens and yellows. I see the face as like a canvas and it’s like creating artwork.”
