A woman in her 50s is in a life-threatening condition after suffering a cardiac arrest.
She was taken from Braintree to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford yesterday.
A spokesman for East Anglian Air Ambulance said the crew used night-vision and landed at 6.45pm after flying fourteen minutes from its Cambridge base.
He said: "The team treated a woman in her mid-fifties who had suffered a cardiac arrest.
"The patient was then escorted by Dr Soti and Andy Downes by ambulance to the Broomfield Hospital."
