A Braintree school is looking for former pupils to help mentor its current students.

Alec Hunter Academy in Stubbs Lane has registered with the charity Future First to set up a network of former students and alumni.

Participants can help their old school out as career and education role models, mentors, e-mentors, work experience providers, governors, donors or fundraisers.

Assistant headteacher Sarah Chamberlain said: “A network of past pupils with all their life experience will be invaluable in helping us to broaden current pupils’ horizons and equip them for the world of work.”

Former students can sign up to Future First’s alumni scheme on futurefirst.org.uk.
