Man charged with arson following kebab shop fire
A man charged with arson following a fire at a kebab shop will stand trial next year.
Omer Tarhan, 38, of Bure Drive, Witham, is set to appear in Chelmsford Crown Court on October 27 for a plea and case management hearing, when a trial date will be fixed.
During a brief appearance on October 13 the court heard Essex Fast Food, in Collingwood Road, Witham, was badly damaged after a fire broke out on August 6.
Tarhan denies arson being reckless to endanger life.
He was released on unconditional bail.
