Sisters Charlie and Abbie Shortall know more than most children their age how to look after themselves.
Charlie, 11, and Abbie, 14, look after their mum Natasha, who has motor neurone disease (MND), and little brother Zack, six.
The girls, of Mullins Road, Braintree, attend the Young Carers Club, run by Braintree and District Crossroads, where other children know exactly what it is like to look after a loved one.
And it was with the group that they both appeared on BBC programme Countryfile last weekend and met TV veteran John Craven.
