A man has been taken to Broomfield Hospital after an incident involving a car and a motorbike.
The A131 was closed in both directions after the incident on the road between the Marks Farm roundabout (A120/Coggeshall Road) and Broad Road (B1053) at 4pm.
The man, in his 40s and believed to be the driver of the motorbike, is in a stable condition and his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
An ambulance spokesman said: "Two ambulances, the Essex Air Ambulance and HART arrived at the scene after we received the call at about 4pm.
"The man was taken to hospital by land ambulance in a stable condition."
The road re-opened by 6.30pm.
