Police have issued a fresh appeal to help find the man suspected of a vicious glass attack.
They have released CCTV images of a key female witness to the attack at the Bull pub in the early hours of Sunday, September 6.
She is described as being of mixed race, slim build, in her 20s and 5ft 2in tall with collar-length straight brown hair.
Victim Bradley Keefe, 23, said he will be left with lasting scars after the glass was smashed in his face, severing an artery.
He received 30 stitches at Broomfield Hospital.
DC Nikki Simpson of Braintree CID said: "So far no witnesses have responded to the CCTV image released last week.
"This assault was a particularly vicious attack and a thorough police investigation continues.
"We are now releasing a photograph of a woman who was with the man we want to talk to.
"She is clearly a very important witness and I would ask her to contact us as soon as possible.
"If anyone is able to identify either the male or female in the picture then I urge them to make contact with us."
Anyone with information should call Dc Simpson at Braintree CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
