A road has been closed and a man has been reported for driving offences after a lorry hit a telegraph pole.
The crash happened just before 10am in Long Road, Cressing.
An East of England Ambulance spokesman confirmed a man in his 30s was treated for minor injuries and taken to Broomfield Hospital.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "We attended a collision in Long Road, Cressing after a call at 10am.
"The incident involved a Mercedes lorry in collision with a telegraph pole.
"The passenger of the vehicle suffered minor injuries and required medical treatment.
"A 60-year-old man has been reported for driving offences and the road has been closed while power cables are repaired."
