Staff members at a supermarket store in Witham were covered in ice cold water all in the name of charity.
Nine people who work at the Morrison’s Local store at the former Jack and Jenny pub in Braintree Road, Witham, took part in the ice bucket challenge outside the shop at 3.30pm last Thursday.
Family and friends came down to the event to tip the ice and water over the employees.
The craze, which has been completed by celebrities including Bill Gates and Victoria Beckham, has so far raised millions of pounds for the American-based ALS Association and its UK counterpart the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
