A laptop worth £1,500 was stolen from an unlocked van.
Thieves took the Panasonic CF52 laptop from the insecure white Vauxhall Vivaro van between 11am and 2.05pm last Tuesday.
The van, which had a 55 registration plate, was parked in Braintree Road, Witham.
Sergeant Martin Richards, of Braintree Police, said: “We would like to remind vehicle owners of the need to lock their vehicles and not to leave valuable items either on show or in their vehicles at all.”
