Police are appealing for information on the whereabouts of a man wanted in connection with the attempted rape of a woman in Middlesbrough.

A 51-year-old woman was attacked on the A66 North Ormesby flyover at 6am on June 7, resulting in her sustaining a broken shoulder and broken nose.

Cezar Florea, 26, of Romanian origin, is being sought by Cleveland Police.

He has links to the London area.

Investigating Officer, DI Mark Dimelow, said: "We are keen to speak to Cezar Florea in connection with this attempted rape.

"We are working through any information that comes in and we are asking the public to keep their eyes peeled for him.

"The photograph is taken from social media and we know that it was taken just a few months ago. Anyone with information on where he may be is asked to contact us as a matter of urgency.”

Members of the public are asked not to approach him, but to call 999 if they see him.

Anyone who may have information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101.
