BUSINESSES from across Tendring are being urged to make the most of an opportunity to boost their growth.

The Haven Gateway Partnership, in collaboration with the BEST Growth Hub, is hosting a half-day conference at Essex University's Business School.

Professor Nigel Pye, MBA director at the Business School, will facilitate a workshop to explore businesses' views on funding and what they feel would be the most valuable to their company.

This is meant to help shape future funding calls and will be submitted as part of a response to the Government’s industrial strategy green paper.

Tendring Council’s regeneration team will also be hosting a stand at the exhibition.

The conference is being held on Wednesday from 8.45am to 1.30pm.

Planning and regeneration boss, councillor Giles Watling, said: "At the event, you'll hear from a range of funding sources including European and lottery funders available for your business.

“You'll also have the opportunity to pre-book face-to-face appointments with funders and explore your opportunities to grow and develop.”

Tickets are £20 (plus VAT) per person which includes parking, refreshments and a networking lunch, sponsored by the LoCASE project. Places are limited.
