VOLUNTEERS are needed to walk trainee guide dog puppies.

The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association is looking for people to take care of a puppy for a year.

Volunteers will look after a guide dog puppy from six weeks old until approximately 12 to 14 months of age, when they are returned to the charity to begin their specialised guide dog training.

Pippa Block, volunteer development coordinator, said: “Without our volunteers, Guide Dogs wouldn’t be able to help hundreds of blind and partially sighted people in Essex to get out and about on their own terms. But we need help to reach more people with sight loss.”
