Police appeal after man stabbed in Greenstead.

A MAN has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed and robbed in the street.

Police are appealing for information after a 20-year-old man from east London was attacked in Hickory Avenue, Greenstead, at about midday today.

He was near the junction with Blackthorn Avenue when he was robbed and received a puncture wound to his stomach and leg and was taken by ambulance to Colchester General Hospital.

His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Police are looking for two black men who stole the victim's Blackberry phone and a bag containing personal possessions before one of them stabbed him.

Any witnesses or anyone who saw where the robbers went after the attack call Det Sgt Gary Robinson from the serious crime team at Colchester police station on 101.

Some weeks ago I commented on a similar incident at the estate...Some other commentator responded with quite an inappropriate and somewhat sarcastic reply stating only x amount in the quoted period. This around 4 serious incidents of this nature in the last 8 months at this estate. It is time now for this to cease in this Borough & Area...

great comment from someone who is obviously greaty concerned. I wish. there was an easy quick fix for this problem. we have an area that is always plagued by serious crimes and sometimes no matter how good the cops are it takes time.good luck in your. efforts ...

Unfortunately, we live in a time where a pizza can arrive quicker than the police. It's no wonder that the general public have lost all confidence in the police. It's the reason so many crimes are being commited, these scum simply know they will get away with it. Even of they are caught they will only get a slap on the wrist by the weak magistrates who can't be bothered & would rather be at home reading the guardian.
