A NEW perspective will be offered on an iconic building as architectural historian Dr Jonathan Foyle scales the walls of Layer Marney Tower for a new television programme.
The tudor skyscraper, on the outskirts of Colchester, will be featured as part of the new BBC Two series Climbing Great Buildings, at 6.30pm on Friday, September 10.The idea of the show is to reveal the secrets of the great structures in Britain and tell the story of how architecture and construction have developed over 1,000 years.
Dr Foyle is assisted by climber Lucy Creamer in scaling the highest Tudor gatehouse in Britain.
